Alessandra Abbruzzese

1975. Economist. MSc in Local Economic Development

Brindisi (Italy). Graduate in Economics and Business Administration from the "Universitá degli Studi di Parma" and Masters in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) (United Kingdom). Of special relevaance is her experience as a business consultant in investment planning processes and her participation in local development projects managed by public administrations in southern Italy. She has also worked in areas relating to international development, as an economist for the PNUD Namibia and as a consultant of the Italian Foreign Affairs Ministry in China.

Professional Experience

Today. Currently she is working for Naider as an analyst in the areas of science, technology, innovation and competitiveness.

2002 - 2008 Consultant in Idea & Praxis Consulting.Her work consisted of advising private companies that invest both in production projects and in R&D&I.

2005 – 2008 Consultant for Brindisi City Hall. "Integral Sector Project" for the development of the tourism sector within the municipality of Brindisi and its region.

2003 Consultant for the Italian Foreign Affairs Ministry in the Development Cooperation Office of the Italian Embassy in Peking.

2003 Consultant for the Istituto per la Ricerca Sociale (IRS). Milan - Italy.

2001 -2002 Junior Economist. United Nations Development Programme. Windhoek – Namibia. Analysis and assessment of socio-economic information on Namibia, research into the local economy and participation in the drafting of main PNUD reports.

1998-1999 Junior researcher. Istituto per la Ricerca Sociale di Milano. Research and consultancy work in public policy matters.
