Ekain Laka

1978. Economist

1978 Gernika-Lumo. Bachelor of Economics at the University of The Basque Country and "MA on City, Design and Regeneration", at the London Metropolitan University and the "Cities Institute" of London.

He has been part of our team since 2005 in the areas of City and Local Development. He is particularly interested in looking at city regeneration policies and the role of culture and creative industries.

Although he has developed his career in different sectors (internationalisation, marketing) later highlights his within the local and regional development issues. On this field, he has been the project manager of Laudio/Llodio city’s Strategic Plan as well as support officer beside the Theatre and Arts Programmer of Bilbao City Council both located in the Basque Country in Spain within the time that, among other initiatives, the local Theatre Resources Facility, "Bilbao Eszena" was set up.
